Myaffordaplane

I started this site to share my Affodaplane with other builders and friends.  There aren't many resources for A-planes on the web yet.  I got involved in this because I was taking flying lessons and failed my physical when it came time to solo.  After a half dozen doctors and thousands of dollars it looks like it will be years before I get a class 3 physical.  I was collecting stuff to build a Wagabond but now that I can't get a light sport license, I have decided to go part 103.

I chose the affordaplane because of the ease of build.  This is where I was at on the build after just 2.5 hrs of building on the first day.  You can see that I'm deviating from the plans with the tail.  I will be doing this in several places in the build.  Stay tuned and I'll take pictures and explain as they come to play.

To the left is drawings of what it should look like.  The top is an Aplane built to plans.  The bottom three are what mine should look like.
